WORKING TOGETHER GROUPS:

Wednesday morning 9.00 - 12.00pm, and Tuesday evenings 7.00 - 9.30pm.

Come join us for a morning or evening potting together, along with lots of friendly talk, laughter, and , if you want it, help and advice with your project – these are times for sharing our skills!

Members $3.00 per session and non-members $4.00 per session.

WORKSHOPS: 

  "Introduction to Handbuilding pottery with Heather" for adults

Begins Tuesday 29th June, 7.00-9.30pm, for six weeks
$60 for tuition plus weekly costs for clay/firing, (Total $100 for everything)

  To find the potters studio, drive right around the back of the building to the two big gas bottles.
 
MORE WORKSHOPS: 

During the Bribie Arts Festival in July, four top Australian pottery tutors, Janet Deboos, Kevin Grealy, Janna Pameijer and Gerry O’Connor will be teaching  wheel throwing, sculpture, raku firing texhniques, slip casting and surface decoration.  See the Festival web page for Festival workshops.
 
The group also offers training sessions for members, which are held on demand regularly during the year in all aspects of pottery.

 
CHILDREN'S SATURDAY MORNING CLASSES:

NEW Children's Pottery Classes with Heather NEW

Begins Saturday 12 June 2010

Ages 5 to 9 Saturday Morning 9:30 to 12:00

Ages 10 to 14 Saturday Afternoon 1:00 to 3:30

$8 per child per session..Wear shoes, bring a hat, snack, and repellent

MEMBERSHIP FEES:

Working group membership per annum $10.00 - renewal is due on 1st February each year.
 
SOCIAL EVENTS AND FUNCTIONS:

These are regularly organized, where club members, families and friends can meet.  The annual Soup Night (the fundraiser for "Clay Creations), selling and demonstrations of pottery from the potters' studio every month at the Art & Craft Fair, bus trips, a "kiln crawl" to visit pottery work spaces of our local potters, and rostered working in the kitchen on Craft Fair mornings keep the group busy. 
 
EXHIBITION AND COMPETITION: 

Each year the Bribie Potters hold their mid-year exhibition, "Feat of Clay" and their annual November competition and exhibition "Clay Creations" in the Matthew Flinders Gallery.
 
VISITING POTTERS ARE MOST WELCOME.
