Romantic impressionist painter Dale was born in Brisbane, Queensland, 1940. He has been a full-time painter since 1970, and exhibited widely throughout Australia and in England.
Two books of his works were published in 1981 and 1988, followed by the publication of his autobiography entitled "The Pumpkin Sower" in 2003.
The figurative landscape has played a predominant role in the work of Dale Marsh. This was particularly evident in his early professional years in the prescence of a growing family. Influences of the great French Impressionist painters Pissaro and Renoir can be assumed, with perhaps other painterly effects from time to time, as seen in the works of Monet and Seurat.
He is best known on Bribie Island for his mural ‘A Place of Peace in a Troubled World’ that welcomes residents and visitors to the Island just after they drive across the Bridge.
