Arts Festival

JANNA PAMEIJER

Janna has been a full-time sculptor since 1978.

After completing a degree in Fine Art, Janna began experimenting with hollow clay construction for forms from small sizes to larger works up to two meters.

The clay building techniques she developed are the foundation to her life as a sculptor. Janna also demonstrates and teaches these techniques to other enthusiasts both in Australia and overseas.

The figure features strongly in Janna's sculptures as a subject for personal expression as well as a study in portraiture.

She also enjoys exploring the nature of Australia's native fauna through clay. After the first few exhibitions with the Wildlife Artists of Australasia in Melbourne, she co-foundered the Queensland Wildlife Artists in 1981 which promoted the focus on Australian wildlife and their conservation.

Janna (www.jannasart.com) will be holding one workshop during the festival. This is detailed below.
