WORKSHOPS
Welcome to our workshop information pages, which will help you choose from the massive number of workshops that we are offering. This page lists our great tutors who are teaching at the Festival. Details on particular workshops can be found (or will soon be found as we are still preparing some of the pages!) by clicking on the tutor’s name.
You can find the overall
workshop schedule here. The length of workshops varies from one to four days to give everyone a chance to be inspired by two or even more tutors at the Festival, and to try something new. Be adventurous!!!

And here is some practical information about our workshops:
All workshops cost $75.00 a day, except for the Ukulele Classes (see below). This $75.00 covers tuition plus morning teas and lunch. Some classes will have specific requirements for you to bring to class while others may have a charge for special items, such as a “model”!
The Ukulele Classes cost $75.00 for the two lessons (on separate days) and includes morning or afternoon teas plus a Ukulele Kit for you to use and keep (Ukulele, plus tuner and instruction book).
This extraordinary value for these high-quality workshops is made possible by the generous support of the Queensland Government and the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
Workshop places will be reserved on a first-come-first-reserved basis and a waiting list will be kept. Reservations will be made only when the full workshop fee is received. Cancellations will be accepted without penalty up to the cutoff date of 1st June 2012, after which 50 percent of the fee will be retained if the place cannot be filled from the waiting list. It is also possible that a workshop may be cancelled for unforeseen circumstances or if fewer than five registrations are received by the cutoff date of 1st June 2012. In these cases the workshop fees will be refunded in full.
As well as workshops each day there will be a significant programme for everyone to enjoy. It will include an extensive music programme, The Matthew Flinders Art Competition and Exhibition to view, artists at work in the courtyards, an opening event, the Gala Open Day Market, interesting projects to become involved with and of course great food to eat all day for the visitors. There will be other exciting events planned away from the Centre as well. Details will appear in April 2012 on the web and in the press.
