In 2001 Janna worked with members of the Maleny community preparing 5 large images in decorative clay tiles which have been incorporated in the pavement outside the Community Centre in Maple Street.

In the years from 2000 to 2005, Janna worked on her biggest project yet which was building a stone house where she and her husband now reside.

2003 – 2004 Janna has completed commissions for shopping centre complexes in NSW. In of these projects involved making a pair of life size dolphins for a fountain garden. The dolphins were completed in cast aluminium. Other works were cast in steel.

Workshops

The essence of Janna’s workshops has been to encourage participants to explore the wonderful medium of clay and to develop the individual’s artistic attributes and where relevant, inviting them to explore ideas associated with their cultural background.

Janna has been conducting workshops for more than 25 years. She teaches regularly both from her studio and in numerous centres throughout Queensland, interstate and internationally. These include workshops with the McGregor Summer School at the University of South East Qld, Society of Sculptors Queensland, Queensland Potters Association and over 25 different community groups and schools throughout Australia.
